A/C JANITORIAL SERVICES - BIO SCIENCE

Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated §§50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Janitorial Services for Georgia Advanced Manufacturing Training Center to the TCSG - Georgia QuickStart (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.

The Georgia BioScience Training Center is a 50,000-sq.-ft. building that opened in 2015 and is dedicated to supporting research, technology transfer, and comprehensive, customized workforce training for bioscience and biomanufacturing industries. The facility includes administrative areas, classrooms, computer labs, a large multi-purpose room, a maintenance training space, analytic lab, a simulated gowning space with lockers and storage. The Pilot Lab is equipped with manufacturing-scale biomanufacturing equipment requiring appropriate cleaning for stainless steel.

The GBTC requires additional consideration due to its status as a signature, showcase facility. Serving the biotech sector requires that it reflect the cleanliness and sophistication of the bio-manufacturing, bio-pharmaceutical industry. The public areas mostly have a terrazzo composite finish on the floors, and floor-to ceiling glass walls encircling a landscaped exterior space that is the centerpiece of the Center. The building was honored with an Excellence Award as they best Built Project by the American Institutes of Architects ¿ Georgia.
