Pre-Summit: Army Spotlight and Advanced Competitive Essentials

Join the U.S. Department of Army Office of Small Business Programs, U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC), American Small Business Chamber of Commerce (ASBCC), Defense Acquisition University and the Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Center for the USWCC/ASBCC Pre- Fall Summit U. S. Department of Army spotlight and hands-on training event to be held on Tuesday, October 31st from 8 - 4pm in the Washington DC area. To register, go to http://uswcc.org/events/army-spotlight-and-advanced-competitive-essentials-10-31-17/

This session will provide an overview and brief for the U.S. Army in addition to FY 18 Army projected acquisitions, digging deep into Market Research and enhancing your competitive edge when a subcontracting plan and/or small business participation plan is a requirement in your proposal for Contracting Officer review.

Are you unclear about the differences between small business subcontracting plans and small business participation plans for Department of Defense acquisitions? Did you know that as a small business the requirement to evaluate small business participation applies to your proposals too? In this session you will gain an understanding of how the requirements of FAR Subpart 15.304 and DFARS 215.304 "Evaluation Factors and Significant Subfactors", for evaluating small business participation are similar and different from the requirements of FAR Subpart 19.704 "Subcontracting Plans Requirements".

Subject matter expert Sherry Freeman, Learning Director/Professor, Small Business, Defense Acquisition University will present "Evaluation of Small Business Participation vs. Assessment of Small Business Subcontracting Plans; "What's the Difference?"

Space Limited to 60 Seats - register today at: http://uswcc.org/events/army-spotlight-and-advanced-competitive-essentials-10-31-17/
