Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) Primary Clarifiers & Gravity Thickeners Rehabilitation

Scope:

The Town of Leesburg, Virginia (“Town”) is requesting bids from qualified Bidders to provide the rehabilitation of the primary clarifiers and gravity thickeners at the Water Pollution Control Facility, located at 1391 Russell Branch Parkway SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.

The awarded bidder, also referred to herein as “Contractor”, shall provide rehabilitation of process tanks at the Town’s Water Pollution Control Facility in accordance with contract documents, plans and specifications.

The scope includes but is not limited to:

• Inspection and evaluation of condition of the primary clarifiers and gravity thickeners
• Demolition within the primary clarifiers and gravity thickeners
• Installation of new weir plates and scum baffles
• Repairs, cleaning and painting of sludge collection mechanisms, influent wells and piping
• Repair of concrete surfaces
• Concrete and steel coatings
• Demolition and replacement of handrails

The Town reserves the right to perform all, part, or none of the work.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Water Pollution Control Facility located at 1391 Russell Branch Parkway SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175. The meeting may also be attended virtually via Microsoft Teams.
