2024 Utility Box Art

The City of Dublin invites qualified professional artists, or high school student artists working under the supervision of an art teacher or art professional, to submit designs for painted utility boxes, beginning February 23, 2024, through April 16, 2024. All the approved utility boxes are City-owned traffic signal boxes. Selected artists will be paid a $1,000 stipend per utility box painted.

DESIGN THEME: The City is seeking proposals that illustrate an "Out of this World" theme, whether it be of the literal sense or something that is extremely impressive. Artists are encouraged to be as creative as possible when developing mind blowing images and designs that capture this theme.

In addition, four of the utility boxes that are scheduled to be painted are in close proximity to Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (Camp Parks). Artists are encouraged submit ideas or proposals honor Camp Parks past, present, and future.

In addition to the theme proposing artists are encouraged to review existing utility box art collection and develop proposals that are unique and unlike anything the City already has.

All proposals must be received by the Recreation Coordinator Shelby Perry by Friday, April 16, 2024, 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
