Kent, Washington requests proposals from qualified firms for the creation, implementation and performance documentation of tourism promotion and marketing services for the city € s tourism program, Visit Kent.
These efforts should build upon the previously completed multi-step branding exercise (see € brand statement € ), providing a consistent representation of Kent that balances the need for an increase in overnight hotel stays as well as enhancing local, regional and national awareness, shedding unfavorable stereotypes and shifting perceptions of a place among audiences consistent with the common vision for Kent € s future.
This is a one-year contract for services which begins September 1, 2016 with two one-year options to renew. The overall budget for this contract has not been established, but it is anticipated that approximately $100,000 to $150,000 will be available for the delivery of tourism promotion and marketing services, including media placements and a limited availability to do special campaigns annually. Final allocation will be subject to the approval of Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and the Kent City Council.
