The gateway project at the intersection of 11th & Mississippi streets in Lawrence
involves a phased renovation, demolition and rebuild of the north gateway to the
University of Kansas campus. The goal of the project is to provide new and
enhanced spaces to 1) drive student recruitment, 2) host conferences and events
throughout the year that spur economic development and enhance the quality of life
in Lawrence, and 3) upgrade Kansas Football facilities for student-athletes and
gameday guests.
This phase of the project is to complete all work that enables us to begin demolition
of the corner of campus while keeping all utilities in service for events and daily
operations. This consists of site water, gas, electrical, telecom and relocation of
electrical & IPF cross connect rooms with associated architectural and system
requirements.

Proposals are to be submitted via Turner Construction Building Connected. Bids submitted outside of Building
Connected will not be accepted. All correspondence will be through Building Connected.
This project involves Federal and State Funding sources so all correspondence must be through Building Connected
in order to ensure an equal and fair bidding process for all bidders.

proposals which exceed $25,000 shall include a copy of a Tax Clearance Certification with their submittal. Failure to
provide this information may be cause for rejection of vendor's bid or proposal. Tax Clearances may be obtained at
the following website: http://www.ksrevenue.org/taxclearance.html A “Tax Clearance” is a comprehensive tax account
review to determine and ensure that the account is compliant with all primary Kansas Tax Laws administered by the
Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) Director of Taxation. Information pertaining to a Tax Clearance is subject to
change(s), which may arise as a result of a State Tax Audit, Federal Revenue Agent Report, or other lawful
adjustment(s). INSTRUCTIONS: To obtain a Current Tax Clearance Certificate, you must: • Go to
http://ksrevenue.org/taxclearance.html to request a Tax Clearance Certificate • Return to the website the following
working day to see if KDOR will issue the certificate • If issued an official certificate, print it and attach it to your bid
response • If denied a certificate, engage KDOR in a discussion about why a certificate wasn’t issued Bidders (and
