South Downtown Improvements
Bids due 10:00 a.m. – October 4, 2018
Sealed bids for South Downtown Improvements will be received at Milwaukie City Hall, Council Chambers located at 10722 SE Main St., Milwaukie, OR 97222 until 10:00 a.m. on October 4, 2018, at which time the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after 10:00 a.m. shall not be considered.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following:
Construction of sidewalk, curb, roadwork, vegetated stormwater planters, stormwater inlets and pipeline, water lines and other miscellaneous appurtenances.
All work is to be completed by December 31, 2019.
The Contract Documents may be examined at http://bids.milwaukieoregon.gov/ . Interested parties will need to create a free login account to view contract documents. The account will be used to notify plan holders of any addenda throughout the bidding process.
All bids shall be submitted on the furnished Bid Submission Packet in a sealed envelope plainly identifying the project name, project number, bid opening time and date, bidder’s name, and contractor’s license number. Sealed bids shall be addressed to City of Milwaukie, Engineering Department, 6101 SE Johnson Creek Boulevard, Milwaukie, OR 97206. All bids shall be submitted in the prescribed form and said manner as indicated in the Information for Bidders. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond executed in favor of the City of Milwaukie in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Oregon Department of Transportation, in the Class of Work as appropriate prior to the public opening and reading of the bids.
No bid will be considered unless the bid contains, or is accompanied by, a statement by the bidder that the provisions required by ORS 279C.838 or ORS 279C.840, as applicable, pertaining to prevailing wages, shall be included as part of the Contract.
The Engineer’s Estimate ranges from $2,505,000 to $2,930,000. A non-mandatory pre-bid construction meeting is scheduled for Friday August 31, 2018 at 11:00 am. The meeting will be held in the Engineering Department at the address indicated above.
