NOTES: CONTRACTOR will provide snow plowing, snow and ice removal, salting and sanding of Parking Ramp, Parking Lots, Walkways and Grounds at both the Minneapolis and Eden Prairie campuses. The Minneapolis campus is located at 1500, 1400, 1300 Hennepin Ave, and the Eden Prairie campus is located at the Flying Cloud Airport at 10100 Flying Cloud Drive. The CONTRACTOR agrees to plow sidewalks, surface parking lots, loading docks, alleys, and exterior plaza areas after the accumulation of 1.0 inches or greater of snowfall, or if snowfall with blowing conditions has accumulated in drifts that impact normal use. Also included are curb to curb clearing of sidewalks are to be completed at crosswalks, bus stops, and loading/unloading areas on Hennepin Ave, Spruce Place and York Ave locations. Removal of all snow from all surface parking lots as necessary to maintain all parking stalls accessible after the accumulation of 1 inches or greater of snowfall, or if snowfall with blowing conditions has accumulated in drifts that make normal use of the parking lots difficult. The CONTRACTOR will provide an off-site dumping area for the snow removed from the surface parking lots. Removal of built up snow on sidewalks from plowing will be done when snow piles are greater than 18 inches high. All plowing is to be done with appropriate equipment, and qualified personnel. Equipment and techniques must be used so that the grounds and landscaping are not damaged. Plowing and snow removal tasks are to be completed primarily between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am. Authorized College personnel will contact vendor if additional plowing or sanding is required during operating hours. The CONTRACTOR will respond to request within a reasonable time frame based upon weather conditions. The CONTRACTOR is to provide flags and stakes for identifying locations of fire department connection and other locations as needed to prevent damage to property during snow plowing operations. The CONTRACTOR is to supply sand (90%) and salt (10%) mixture to be used by College staff during operating hours. College will provide location and direction where to deliver sand/salt mix. In addition, A total of 4 barrels are needed to be placed in specific locations around the parking ramp. The CONTRACTOR will monitor barrels and replenish as needed. At the Aviation Center the CONTRACTOR will plow sidewalks and surface parking lots after the accumulation of 1 inches or greater of snowfall, or if snowfall with blowing conditions has accumulated in drifts that impact normal use. The removal of snow from all surface parking lots as necessary to maintain all parking stalls accessible after the accumulation of 1 inches or greater of snowfall, or if snowfall with blowing conditions has accumulated in drifts that make normal use of the parking lots difficult. All plowing is to be done with appropriate equipment, and qualified personnel. Equipment and techniques must be used so that the grounds and landscaping are not damaged. Plowing and snow removal tasks are to completed primarily between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am. The CONTRACTOR will provide flags and stakes for identifying locations of fire department connections. The CONTRACTOR will monitor the barrels and replenish as needed. The CONTRACTOR also agrees that all damages from snow plowing activities in excess of $100.00 will be reported to Robert Kubik or Curt Schmidt within 24 hours. All damages are to be corrected no later than June 15th during the term of this contract.
