Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
Questions: All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the IONwave Bid system on or before the cut off date and time as indicated in the solicitation.
DOT estimated start date is 06/08/2023 This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract)

o Project end date- 06/21/2023 (This includes re solution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). This is a time sensitive project please see the attributes to indicate lead time concerns and once all materials are available how quickly can the work be done.

Site Visits: Is recommended prior to submitting a bid to ensure the vendor has the door measurements. To schedule a site visit contractors must contact Teri Schulz at teri.schulz@iowadot.us with a date and time of when you want a site visit. Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit.
The award contract will be required to field verify the pipe measurements prior to ordering materials.

Site visits will be scheduled in advance between May 30, 2023 and June 5, 2023, between Monday - Thursday, the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Fridays hours are 7:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m.
