ROUTE 1 ADJUST MANHOLE COVERS

Sealed bids for "ROUTE 1 ADJUST MANHOLE COVERS " will be received by the Town of
Groton at the Town Hall Annex, 134 Groton Long Point Road (across from R. E. Fitch High
School) Groton, CT until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on June 29, 2023 and then at said office
publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and designated as
bid for “ROUTE 1 ADJUST MANHOLE COVERS”.
When the CTDOT paved Route 1 last fall, they paved over manholes owned by the Town of
Groton Water Pollution Control Division (WPCD). This project intends to raise and expose
covers to provide access to sewers by adjusting the grade of thirty-one (31) manholes. Manhole
Extension Rings will be provided by the Town.
