RFQ for Fall 2022 Street Sweeping

Position Objectives

The Town of Williston is interested in a Quote to sweep approximately 23 miles of curbed town roads. Attachment A includes a list of the road names and a map depicting the curbed portions of the roads listed. Please note, not all portions of the roads listed are curbed, and only the curbed sections need to be swept.

SPECIFICATIONS

1. Sweeping may begin after October 24, 2022 and should be completed no later than November 11, 2022. If weather or road conditions do not permit sweeping during this time a request for an extension shall be made in writing and submitted to the Stormwater Coordinator, Christine Dougherty, as soon as it is known that conditions will prohibit the completion of the task on time.

2. A vacuum assisted sweeper is required for this project, and submittals should include information pertaining to the type of equipment that will be used to complete the project.

3. The collected material can be dumped at the DPW facility located off Avenue A with a minimum 24-hour advance notice to the Towns Stormwater Coordinator, or at a pre-approved location. Access to the PDW facility is only available M-F 7:30 am – 3:30 pm EST.

4. The material collected needs to be measured in cubic yards and the total amount of debris collected needs be reflected on all invoices.
