The Boston Housing Authority (the “BHA”) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for legal services from attorneys and law firms admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit to represent the BHA in litigation brought in housing court and other courts for summary process, evictions, and related actions. The BHA seeks to retain the services of a law firm, law firms, solo practitioner, or solo practitioners with sufficient staffing and expertise to represent the BHA in such litigation (the “Contractor”). From time to time the Contractor may be asked to act as co-counsel with BHA staff counsel. Proposers responding to this RFP are required to submit one (1) original and five (5) copies of their proposal and shall provide one (1) electronic copy of the non-fee portion of their proposal on CD-R or DVD-R media, or USB flash stick. This submission should be in a single file Adobe PDF format, although Microsoft Office file formats (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) are also acceptable. Proposals will be received until June 02, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boston Housing Authority, Purchasing Department, 56 Chauncy Street (Housing Service Center), Boston, MA 02111. Proposal will be subject to approval and award by the Executive Committee of the Boston Housing Authority.
