Description

The City of Rochester Department of Environmental Services, Architectural Services Division is soliciting proposals from architectural/engineering firms to provide building inspection and design services for the Hon. Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services Renovations. The consultant will evaluate existing conditions of the building envelope, accessibility, structural and building systems, create a phased repair and rehabilitation plan for the overall preservation and care of the building, develop prioritized short-term and long-term capital plans and repair strategies, and prepare contract documents for building renovations and repairs on an annual basis. The initial project scope includes water mitigation and repairs in the sub-basement, concrete and masonry repairs and HVAC equipment replacements.

A cursory facility conditions and needs assessment of the facility was completed in October 2021 of the building envelope, accessibility, structural components and operational systems. Under the improvement program, the report will be re-evaluated annually to guide the development of updated, phased improvement plans within the annual budget allocated for the facilities program. The annual facility repair contract work includes maintenance and repairs, reconstruction and rehabilitation of the entire building.

Pre-Proposal Meeting

A pre-proposal meeting for interested consultants will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the Honorable Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services, 57 St Paul St; Rochester, NY, 14604.
