RFP for Solid Waste Transportation, Disposal and Recycling Services

The Solid Waste Management Authority of Coweta County, Georgia (hereafter the “County”) invites qualified firms to submit proposals to provide contractual services related to the transporting and disposal of all solid waste and recycling from the Coweta County Transfer Station to a properly permitted landfill.

All potential bidders will be required to verify contractor and sub-contractor compliance with O. C. G. A. 13-10-91. These documents shall be included in this bid package.

Any and all questions concerning this bid will be directed to Matt Lovett, Director of Environmental Management for Coweta County, via email at mlovett@coweta.ga.us . Questions regarding this RFP will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7th, 2023. All questions will be answered in a single addendum and will be published on the County’s website by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Bidders must provide references for at least three different contracts. Sealed bids are due by 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Coweta County Board of Commissioners, located at 22 East Broad Street, Newnan, Georgia 30263. Sealed bids will be opened at 2:00 p.m. at the Coweta County Commission Chambers, 37 Perry Street Newnan, GA. Two copies of each bid must be submitted in a sealed package clearly labeled: Coweta County MSW – SEALED BID. Coweta County reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason.

Any proposal submitted after the time and date specified or submitted in a manner other than that which is specified, will not be accepted.
