Request for Qualifications - Aquatics Programs

The City of Malibu (City) is requesting proposals from an experienced, qualified organization to provide aquatics programs at the Malibu Community Pool under the jurisdiction of the City of Malibu Community Services Department. The general scope of work to be performed includes offering aquatics programs including a youth swim team and adult swim conditioning program. The selected Independent Contractor (Independent Contractor) will be held to a high standard of excellence and will understand the importance of organized programming, effective communication, and qualified instruction to meet the needs of the Malibu community.

The City offers over 1,400 hours of aquatics programs for residents of all ages, including adult conditioning, aqua aerobics, lap swim, learn to swim lessons, lifeguard certification courses, swim team, and water polo.

The City desires to contract for a youth swim team and adult swim conditioning program for a period of three years beginning September 3, 2024, with the option to extend the Contract Instructor Agreement (Agreement) for up to an additional three one-year periods. The City reserves the right to negotiate the terms of the Agreement once the Independent Contractor is selected.

All proposals are due no later than 3:00 PM PST on Friday, June 14, 2024. Any proposals received after the deadline will be considered non-responsive. No faxed proposals will be accepted.
