IMPORTANT NOTICE – Transition to City's new Source-to-pay tool – SAP Ariba

As of September, 2018, the City of Toronto will launch an online Source-to-Pay tool utilizing SAP Ariba and begin to migrate the City's Solicitations (RFQs, RFPs etc.) from being posted on the City's Online Call Document System to being posted through SAP Ariba. It is important for all Suppliers to register on the SAP Ariba network in order to continue to be able to access City of Toronto Solicitations.

The purpose of this RFP is for the City of Toronto to select and retain a firm
for the provision of services to manage all aspects of rebuilding of the
replica Toronto Sign, as well as ongoing maintenance for a three (3) year
period.

The following is a general, but not necessarily complete, description of the
work to be constructed under the Contract. The list below is not intended
to specify the order of execution:

Specific mandatory requirements as outlined in Part 5 – RFP Particulars.
Specifically, the Proponents must have the following experience in order to
be considered for award:

Procurement:
Proponents are to demonstrate sufficient project experience including,
but not limited to the following specific areas:
The proponent should demonstrate corporate experience by providing
description of projects that the Proponent has completed in the past,
as follows:
Minimum of three (3) of references demonstrating the following:
Experience of the Proponent with other similar projects designing,
building and maintaining 3D structures with lighting components
and public interaction/engagement
Necessary skills, experience and expertise in the design and
delivery of the proposed total Solution, and, based on these skills,
experience and expertise, how they will ensure that the proposed
goods and services are appropriate for the use to be made of them
as set out in this RFP.
Preferably for projects involving in designing and implementing large
and complex structures, with preference for those of similar capacity
and complexity to that of the Toronto Sign.
Facility/Location which must remain operational at all times during
construction.
List of projects with details size, location, owner, and names for all
staff that managed these projects, to demonstrate relevant experience.
Projects that are more recent, of similar scale (or larger), more
complex and most similar to the subject of this RFP will be scored
higher.
Provide sample of creative designs that successfully met the sated
project objectives and timelines of the proposed listed.
