Bids/Proposals are to be submitted sealed with Bid Number 2019-26 clearly marked on the outside of the
envelope by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
All bids must be properly labeled on the outside of the bid envelope with the Bid Number and contain this
form bearing a signature of an authorized officer or representative of the Vendor in order to be considered
valid. Improperly labeled bids or those not containing a signed bid form will be rejected.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or part thereof, to accept one or more items of a
bid without obligation as to other items, and to waive any informalities or irregularities.

This form is to be used for purchases requiring sealed bids for the City of Grand Forks.

General Specifications:
1. The equipment to be furnished is to be the manufacturer’s latest model and design.
2. Manufacturer to furnish descriptive literature, complete with specifications of
equipment bid.
3. Any deletions, variations, or exceptions to the specifications must be explained and
included in the bid submittal.
4. The unit price shall be F.O.B. Grand Forks, North Dakota. The combined chassis/refuse
compactor unit shall be complete and ready to operate at the point of delivery.
5. The total bid price shall not include any North Dakota sales tax, for which an exemption
certificate can be furnished.
6. The successful bidder, when accepting the award, agrees that a complete inventory of
repair parts will be maintained in stock for immediate delivery when needed.
7. The successful bidder agrees to furnish the City a complete set of books, which include:
operator’s manual, service and repair manual, and parts manual.
8. Bids must be submitted on forms supplied by the City, and bidders must comply with all
conditions in the bid specifications.
9. The specific terms of all the machine warranties shall be attached to, and be made part
of, the bid proposal. All warranties are to include parts and labor.
10. Bidder will guarantee bid price for 60 days from the date of the bid opening.
11. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid that is deemed
to be in the best interest of the city.

5. TAILGATE CONSTRUCTION
A. Tailgate sides shall be constructed of a minimum of 7 ___ ___ ______________________________

be constructed of a minimum of 10 gauge high tensile
