NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township of Edison (the “Township”) on
Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm prevailing time at the Edison Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Blvd,
Edison, NJ 08817 at which time and place sealed bids will be opened and read in public for:
PUBLIC BID 21-01-16: THE PURCHASE AND SALE OF BLOCK 296, LOTS 37 and 38,
EDISON, NEW JERSEY, OWNED BY THE TOWNSHIP UPON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS
SET FORTH IN THE BID DOCUMENTS AND ORDINANCE INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE
The Township offices are closed to the public, but still remain operational. The Township is practicing
Social Distancing; therefore, bidders are encouraged to Mail in your bid/RFP responses in a timely manner via
USPS, UPS and FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may contact the Division of
Purchasing at 732-248-7407 to arrange drop off at the Main Entrance of the Township’s Municipal Building at
100 Municipal Blvd, Edison, NJ 08817. As always, it is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that all bids are
timely submitted in order to be received by the time and date as specified. Bids received in the Office of
Purchasing after the designated time and date will be returned unopened.
The integrity of the procurement process is important to the Township, and due to the restrictions in place
under the State of Emergency, the bid opening will be conducted via Webcast from the Purchasing Division’s
Conference room. You can access this Website via the Township’s Webpage (https://www.edisonnj.org) at the
prevailing date and time stated in this Notice to Bidders. Click on Departments on top of page and under the
Purchasing Heading, select Live Public Bid Openings. You will see the scheduled Bid Opening. Click on the box
and enter the Pin number 7407, if prompted. The meeting will open when started. During the bid opening process,
the name of the bidders will be announced as well as their bid amounts. A bid review will not take place at the
openings. While results are always listed on our website, at a minimum, the apparent low bidder(s) submittal will
be posted for review as soon as possible after the bid opening.
Specification and other bid information may be obtained via email request at email@example.com or
through mail by calling 732-248-7407. Proposal forms, Bid Instructions and Information and bid opening
participation information are available from the Township’s Division of Purchasing, by calling or writing Laura
Vesce, Purchasing Agent, 100 Municipal Boulevard, Edison, New Jersey 08817. Laura Vesce’s direct dial is 732-
248-7407 and her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided and
shall be in accordance with the Bid Instructions and Information and other bidding documents.
Bids may be submitted in person, or by mail or other courier service. Though bids may be sent by the mail
or other courier services, the Township takes no responsibility for the loss, non-delivery or physical condition of
the bids so sent. Bidders are required to comply as applicable, with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.
and N.J.A.C. 17:27, Affirmative Action Plan and P.L. 1977, c. 33, Disclosure Statement, and all other
requirements set forth in the Bid Instructions and Information. Bidders are required to use the statement forms
contained in the Bid Instructions and Information.
The Township reserves the right to accept a bid which, in its judgment, best serves the interest of the
Township; to waive any informalities; or to reject any or all bids in accordance with applicable law.
