NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Agent, for the
Township of Edison, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 11:30
a.m. prevailing time at the Edison Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Blvd., Edison, NJ 08817 at
which time and place bids will be opened and read in public for:
The purpose of this contract is to maintain, on call, a contractor with expertise in the field of
electrical repair of traffic signals. The contractor shall remedy, service and maintain on a labor,
equipment and material cost basis all Edison Township traffic signals in need of such repairs.
The Township of Edison offices are closed to the public, but still remain operational. The Township
of Edison is practicing Social Distancing; therefore, bidders are encouraged to Mail in your
bid/RFP responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS and FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-
delivered, potential bidders may contact the Division of Purchasing at 732-248-7407 to arrange
drop off at the Main Entrance of the Township’s Municipal Building at 100 Municipal Blvd, Edison,
NJ 08817. As always, it is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that all bids are timely submitted
in order to be received by the time and date as specified. Bids received in the Office of Purchasing
after the designated time and date will be returned unopened.
The integrity of the procurement process is important to Edison, and due to the restrictions in
place under the State of Emergency, the bid opening will be conducted via Webcast from the
Purchasing Division’s Conference room. You can access this Website via Edison Townships
Webpage ( at the prevailing date and time stated in this Notice to
Bidders. Click on Live Meetings Portal in the middle of the Page. You will see the scheduled Bid
Opening. Click on the box and enter the Pin number 7407, if prompted. The meeting will open
when started. During the bid opening process, the name of the bidders will be announced as well
as their bid amounts. A bid review will not take place at the openings. While results are always
listed on our website, at a minimum, the apparent low bidder(s) submittal will be posted for review
as soon as possible after the bid opening.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C.
