Professional Polling and Public Opinion Research

The City of Santa Cruz requests proposals from qualified firms to provide Professional Polling and Public Opinion Research.

The City of Santa Cruz delivers a wide variety of high priority programs and services to its community. In some cases, service delivery costs exceed funding. Exploring new revenue sources is a primary objective in order to maintain current service levels (or add new services) while also meeting capital infrastructure demands. Additionally, the City may need to ask the community about critical potential ballot actions that would steer changes for the City. The City requests proposals from qualified consultants to conduct public opinion polls and develop research recommendations for potential revenue raising or other ballot measures for City programs and services.

The City anticipates awarding a contract to one qualified firm for a (2) two-year initial contract term, with the option to renew if the City so elects.

Proposal Delivery Instructions:

The Proposal Due Date for this solicitation is 5:00 p.m. PST on June 6, 2023.

Proposals are due no later than 5:00 pm on 6/9/2023 to guarantee review. Proposals received after the deadline will be deemed non-responsive. All proposals will be e-mailed to enguyen@santacruz.gov before the due date. Proposers take full responsibility for City’s receipt of its Proposal. The City will not be liable for any expenses incurred by Proposers in responding to this solicitation, including but not limited to any costs associated with interviews. The subject line of the emailed proposal shall include the Project name and RFP number. It is the responsibility of the Proposer to ensure that electronic submittals are received by the City prior to the deadline.
