Additional Description 00 11 16 Notice is Hereby given that bids clearly addressed to the “Town of Oxford, Oxford Middle School, FF&E and Technology Equipment” will be received by Dr. Robert Miller, Assistant Superintendent, Oxford Public Schools, until Friday, June 5, 2020, 2 pm local time. All bids are to be submitted electronically ONLY via email to Dr. Miller at AND Karen DePersia at In lieu of a public bid opening, bid results will be posted to the Town of Oxford website at No bid will be accepted after the date and time set for Bid receipt. All bids shall be held open by bidders for a period of ninety (90) days. No bidder may withdraw their bid during that period. All work involving the bid documents shall be performed according to the State of Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), S/M/W/DisBE subcontractors and/or vendor "Set-Aside Program goals as included in these bid documents. All work shall be done in accordance with the Connecticut General Statutes 31-53, as amended, that is, conditions of Prevailing Wages shall apply. Bidders are reminded that Public Schools are exempt from Federal Excise Taxes as well as State of Connecticut Sales Tax. No bid shall be accepted from, or a contract awarded to, any Bidder who is in arrears to the Owner upon debt or contract or otherwise obligated to the Owner. AFTER REVIEW OF ALL BID FACTORS, INCLUDING TERMS, CONDITIONS, PRICE, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES; THE TOWN OF OXFORD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL INCOMPLETE OR IRREGULAR BIDS, OR ANY PART THEREOF, WAIVE DEFECTS IN SAME, OR ACCEPT ANY PROPOSAL DEEMED TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONN. GENERAL STATUTES & 10-287 (b). The following is a summary of the Requirements, Scope of Services, Deliverables, in no particular order, required from the successful bidder: • Complete the bid form(s), Including substitutions and all submissions required of a substitution. • Present lump sum bid for the ENTIRE list, INCLUDING any and all Alternates. • Furnish, Assemble and Install ALL products listed in Section 12000 and as indicated in the drawings, and responsibly remove all packing materials from the site. • Submission of a bid by a bidder signifies that bidder will sign Owner’s contract (if awarded) WITHOUT ALTERATION. The successful bidder is to; • Issue purchase orders to all manufactures and vendors necessary. • Arrange deliveries with on-site Project Manager. • Receive all goods in their proper locations, inspect for damage and errors, and • arrange for repair or replacement. • Provide monthly applications for payment backed-up by invoices. • Thoroughly examine and be familiar with ALL of the information and requirements of ALL Bid Documents. • Participate and comply with all applicable affirmative action, equal employment, nondiscrimination and local hiring preferences established by the Town of Colchester for application on this project. • Provide verified evidence of on-going progress to secure on-time delivery and installation in accordance to the Bid Documentations. Required said evidence shall be in the form of purchase orders, contracts and/or agreements, as applicable, certified by each respective manufacturer, and fully verifiable by the Owner.
