Paths and Trails Plan

The City of Veneta, Oregon, invites all qualified consultants to submit a proposal to provide the necessary planning services to create a Paths and Trails Master Plan. This plan would provide guided short and long-range plans for potential path networks and updates to current trails. The selected firm must have proven experience and knowledge in trail master planning, project management and effective public involvement processes to work closely with community members, city staff, the Veneta Planning Commission, and Park Board. The consultant will be responsible for developing the plan in consultation with the Veneta City Council and staff and presenting a final product to City officials and the public in a written report.

This plan shall include conceptual plans for the development of trails, sidewalks and pathways that will improve connectivity between parks, open space areas, natural areas, schools, downtown, library, and current and developing regional pedestrian/bike trail systems. It is anticipated that the report will include information regarding the optimal material the trails, sidewalks and pathways would be made of as well as the cost of construction and maintenance.
