Description:

General Construction Contract D006113

The purpose of the project is to clean masonry building surfaces; re-point joints in brick and stone masonry; remove and replace damaged veneer bricks; remove existing wall bricks and CMU blocks of building wall and parapet; remove and replace wall veneer limestone; remove and replace metal angle lintels in masonry walls; remove and replace metal w-section lintels in masonry walls; clean surface rust from existing steel surfaces; paint exposed surfaces; remove portions of flat roof membrane roof system, replace with new; remove portions of roof flashing, replace with new; clean joints around windows and doors, install new caulking; remove paint from windows and doors, repaint windows and doors; clean expansion joints, install new backer rod and joint material; remove and reset loose coping stones; remove and replace damaged coping stones; remove flat roof membrane waterproofing system at discrete locations and replace with new; remove existing steel roll up doors and install new steel roll up doors; install and remove temporary structural lifting and support system; remove existing miscellaneous attachments to building, store on site, reinstall attachments at same location; remove, rewire, and reset existing electrical fixtures; install containment system for removal of hazardous materials; clean surfaces of bird, bat, and rodent droppings; remove existing stone lintels above entrances; install new steel framing and stone veneer soffit and fascia panel system;

Estimated Range: $435,943.00 – $589,803.00

There will be a pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Jones Beach Field 1

All Requests For Information (RFIs) are due by: 10:00am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

PUBLIC BUILDING LAW § 8(6)

Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,628,283 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2024). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.
