NY-Sun Commercial & Industrial Incentive Program

Description of goods to services to be bid:

PON 2112 and PON 3082 NY-Sun Program Manuals have been updated to include the following:
1. An additional incentive will be provided for Solar Plus Energy Storage projects
• Solar Plus Energy Storage incentive is available for nonresidential and commercial/industrial projects.
• Solar Plus Energy Storage incentive is not available for PSEG and NYPA Customers.
• In addition to the standard base incentive, the Solar Plus Energy Storage incentive will provide an additional $350/kWh of installed energy storage capacity (AC).
• Solar Plus Energy Storage incentive will be available for new project applications and existing project applications in Approved status.
• Solar Plus Energy Storage projects will require a field inspection prior to NYSERDA releasing payment.

2. Clarification that nonresidential and commercial/industrial projects submitted before June 18, 2018 cannot cancel and reapply to obtain an additional incentive

3. Clarification that the Contractor is responsible for providing the customer with a copy of the project application approval letter and if applicable, the project modification approval letter, if no customer email address is available.

4. Clarification on the photo inspection requirements and process.

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

Standard incentive - Cash incentives are available for qualified customers who wish to install PV systems through applications submitted by a Participating Contractor. A Participating Contractor has signed a Participation Agreement (with NYSERDA, agreeing to abide by Program terms and conditions). Affordable Solar additional incentive - Additional incentives for solar PV installations are available for customer households who qualify as low-to-moderate income. The additional incentive matches or doubles the standard incentive and can apply for up to 6kW of the total system size. The Participating Contractor or Builder is responsible for preparing and submitting all necessary project application and incentive paperwork to NYSERDA.
