Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the Board of Social Work Examiners
On July 14, 2022, the Board of Social Work Examiners adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 18 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulation concerns the amendment of 12 AAC 18.112 to require that, of the 45 contact hours of continuing education activities required by the board for renewal of a license to practice social work, three hours be in teletherapy practice.
The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor (or designee) on September 16, 2022, and will go into effect on October 16, 2022. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.
The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 244, January 2023 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
