DO NOT CONTACT PLACER COUNTY STAFF FOR QUESTIONS OR INFORMATION ** Nevada County and Placer County are combining resources to provide services to their respective clients for Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) programs funded under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). A multi-year community-led planning process has identified a variety of service elements which aim to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues, diminish serious mental health issues, and implement early detection strategies to keep mental illnesses from becoming severe and disabling, if possible. Programs will be prioritized based on recent community mental health needs assessment, data, and staff input. Nevada County and Placer County have each dedicated a set-aside of PEI funds specifically for the Tahoe/Truckee region, given the region’s unique needs and provider landscape. Nevada County is soliciting information from area providers for these services on behalf of both counties.
