Description of Work: The purpose of this project is to grade and remove sediment from the site as shown on
plans. Work will include erosion control, grading, hauling, seeding, and associated items.

Minority Business Plan:
Bidders are no ﬁed that the City of Asheville has adopted a Minority Business Plan which established guidelines
and veriﬁable percentage goals for par cipa on by minority businesses in the awarding of construc on contracts.

All bidders must have a current North Carolina General Contractor's License with the appropriate classiﬁca on for
the work of the project at the me of the bid.
Certification of a Drug-Free workplace:
Bidders are no ﬁed that the City of Asheville has adopted a Drug-Free Workplace Policy requiring successful
bidders to insure that a drug-free workplace is provided in the performance of any City of Asheville construc on
contracts. By submi ng a bid proposal, Bidder cer ﬁes that if awarded the Contract, they and their
subcontractors shall comply with the City’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy. The policy may be viewed at the
Iran Divestment Act Certification:
Bidders are no ﬁed that by submi ng this bid proposal, the Contractor cer ﬁes that, as of the date of
submission, it is not on the Final Divestment List as created by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.C.G.S. §
147-86.60. In compliance with the requirements of the Iran Divestment Act and N.C. G. S. § 147-86.82, Contractor
shall not u lize in the performance of the contract any subcontractor that is iden ﬁed on the Final Divestment
Miscellaneous Requirements of the Bid:
● Bid proposals shall include the cost of required insurances and payment of any applicable local, State and Federal
taxes. The City Council of the City of Asheville has adopted a policy that the City of Asheville will not enter into
contracts with bidders who are delinquent in the payment of ad valorem taxes owed to the City of Asheville.
● All bids must be submi ed on the BID FORM provided.
● No bid may be withdrawn a er the bid due date for a period of 120 days.
