INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids by which
the City of Milford will contract for the
Jonathan Law High School HVAC Upgrades
will be received in the Purchasing Agent's Office until
3:00 pm, Thursday, February 9, 2023
as determined by the Purchasing Office’s clock. Bids will not be opened publicly. However, results will
be posted to the City’s website by the close of business on February 9, 2023.
A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting between prospective bidders and the Architect
will convene in the lobby of Jonathan Law High School, 20 Lansdale Avenue, Milford, CT
on January 19, 2023 at 4:15 pm when project details will be discussed.
A bid bond for five percent (5%) of the base bid cost is required
and must accompany each proposal.
Bids must be held firm for one hundred twenty (120) days beyond the bid opening date.
The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond,
a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate of Insurance
with the Purchasing Agent within ten (10) days of notice of bid award.
Plans, Specifications, and Addenda for this project will only be available on the City of Milford
website at www.ci.milford.ct.us . Click on City Departments, select Purchasing then Current Bids
to view or download the documents. Printed specifications will not be offered for sale for this
project.
A printed set of plans and specifications are available for review only in the Purchasing Office,
Parsons Government Complex, 70 West River Street, Milford, CT 06460, on or after Thursday,
January 12, 2023
The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part thereof, waive defects in same,
or accept any proposal deemed to be in the City’s best interest.
Bidders’ attention is called to the requirement of Connecticut General Statute 4a-60g
(Set aside for small contractors and minority business enterprises)
