Intraoperative Neuro Monitoring Services
Description:

Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) is seeking the services of a company to provide neurological, orthopedic, vascular and cardiothoracic intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during surgical procedures. Modalities used are SSEP, tcMEP, BAEP, etc. The requirements include, but are not limited to, 1) technologists are required to perform intraoperative monitoring in accordance with the National Competency Skill Standards for Performing Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring set forth by the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists, Inc., 2) technologists credentials in intraoperative monitoring must be provided upon request. CNIM credentials also required upon request. 3) Technologist to provide the monitoring equipment and supplies, which must be inspected and approved by the Hospital Biomedical Equipment Department for patient safety in accordance with the applicable policies.

Vendor is to provide monitoring for all SBUH cases when contacted. Vendor must be able to provide technologists to monitor up to four cases simultaneously or up to seven cases per day. Emergent cases require support for on call plan to provide service 24/7/365. Support service must be able to respond within a one (1) hour response time.

When applicable, vendor must issue invoice for the technical services with fee schedule. The fee schedule must comply with federal and state anti-kickback laws. Potential vendor must also provide proof of Malpractice Insurance in New York State upon request.

In order to qualify, the prospective vendor must presently provide these services for similar healthcare operations and must have at least five (5) years verifiable experience with at least one in the greater New York Metropolitan area.
