Description:

On behalf of the Bristol Water and Sewer Department, the City of Bristol Purchasing Department is accepting bids for deployment of Avigilon camera systems at various locations within the water and waste water facilities of the City of Bristol. Bid documents may be obtained at no charge by downloading from the City of Bristol website via the document link noted below.

A mandatory prebid meeting will be held on March 1, 2023 at 9:00 am commencing at the Water Treatment Facility at 1080 Terryville Avenue, Bristol CT 06010. Bids from firms not in attendance at this meeting will not be considered for award.

Proposal submissions will be accepted by the Purchasing Department until March 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm; submissions received after this date and time will not be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in any submission, to reject any and/or all submissions, and to accept the proposal that in its judgment is in its best interest. Interested firms are required to submit one original copy via digital media of the proposal to the Purchasing Department no later than the date and time noted above. Submissions may be made via email, shared file service, or USB drive; the City does not assume responsibility for failure of submissions to be received by the City by the date and time noted above.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the bidders base bid amount, in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Bristol. Further, Each bid submission shall include evidence of status as an approved, licensed or authorized integrator of the manufacturer. The requirements for prevailing wage rates are to apply to the resultant contract award.

The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut.

The contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
