Illumina MiniSeq

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of an Illumina MiniSeq from Illumina Inc. as a sole source because the contractor is the single provider of the goods and the goods being the only equipment able to meet critical parameters to support research needs of the university. Requirements for the sequencing machine to meet the research needs includes:

- ability to quickly produce millions of sequencing reads compatible with Nextera and Illumina based adapters;
- sequence many unique samples at the same time while maintaining sequencing speed and accuracy;
- relay on sequencing by synthesis, integrate all amplification, sequencing, and wash steps in a single cartridge;
- achieve a minimum of 80% of bases with a Q30 score for paired end sequencing;
- provide up to 25 million reads per run of the instrument.

An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-015. Section 5.20 no later than the closing date indicated on the website.
