Item # 2: ( 72-13 - 00 ) Manchester Essex Regional School District, the Awarding Authority, is soliciting filed trade prequalification for the Building Construction of the Manchester Memorial Elementary School Project. Categories of work: Masonry, Misc. and Ornamental Iron; Waterproofing, Damproofing and Caulking; Roofing and Flashing; Glass and Glazing; Tile; Acoustical Tile; Resilient Floors; Painting; Fire Protection; Plumbing; Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; Electrical, Elevator. Estimated total overall project construction Cost: $41,141,459. Estimated total amount of work per all trades: $12,865,000. Only those firms submitting a qualifications package and meeting the necessary criteria will be accepted. Interested firms must submit a statement of qualifications by the deadline and be pre-qualified if they are interested in later bidding the project. M.G.L. c.149 Sec 44E and 44F. Statement of Qualifications Submissions will be accepted by the District care of Dore and Whittier Management Partners, 260 Merrimac Street Bldg 7, Newburyport, MA 01950 until 12PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2019. Responders names will be posted but there will be no public opening responses. All subcontractors submitting the SOQs in response to the RFQ must sign the Statement of Qualifications under pains and penalties of perjury. Prequalification notification to those prequalified will be received by 7-31-19. Specific criteria for trade contractor prequalification and selection per MGL 149a8c4 include relevant company and management information, similar experience, terminations, legal proceedings, safety record, project references, credit references, public project references, prior revenue and revenue under contract. Further information, including information regarding the prequalification evaluation criteria and selection process is included in the RFQ. This is a Construction Manager at Risk project under MGL Ch. 149A. JCJ Architecture, the Designer, and Dore and Whittier Management Partners, the Owners Project Manager, and WT Rich Company, the Construction Manager are the project team. The Manchester Memorial Elementary School is a new construction project that will accommodate pre-k through grade 5 located at 43 Lincoln St. The project is a phased demolition of the existing school when construction of the new building is underway and phased. The project includes construction of a new 2 story, 77,102 sf school building with a footprint of approximately 52,964 sf with the remainder of the square footage comprising the second floor area.
