Description:

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University (“SUNY-DHSU”) seeks a qualified entity to provide licenses for its Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances in addition to requisite services and maintenance.

In order for SUNY-DHSU to meet the regulatory requirements of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) a Vendor must provide to SUNY-DHSU 750 licenses for its Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) which helps eliminate prescription drug fraud of controlled substances and misuse by transferring patient prescriptions directly and digitally to their chosen pharmacy within a single workflow. This increased security enables prescribers and dispensers to have a check-and-balance system compliant with DEA Regulations. The EPCS capability in Sunrise enables other programs like Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and Prescription Price Transparency (PPT) to decrease drug abuse, improve patient safety and drive efficient workflows.

Workflows listed above must integrate with Altera Health Sunrise Clinical Manager aka SUNY’s HealthBridge solution. The re-licensing of expired and expiring licenses must be done by staff certified by Altera Digital Health, Inc. Vendor must provide ongoing maintenance of the system including but limited to in the event of downtime.

Eligible entities must possess all requisite licenses, permits and authorizations for the above-described performance.

SUNY-DHSU intends to make an award under its discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Finance Law for the above noted licenses and services. A sealed bid will not be held. If you are interested in providing a proposal for the above noted licenses and services, you must contact the appropriately designated SUNY-DHSU contact in this advertisement within 15 business days of this Advertisement Notice.
