Description

OVERVIEW: Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated ยงยง50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) on behalf of Atlanta Technical College (ATC) to establish a one-time purchase with one authorized supplier who will provide EMT Fire Fighting Equipment and Supplies to their Public Safety Technologies Program (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFQ. The Public Safety Technologies Program at Atlanta Technical College is seeking to purchase 14 sets of instructional Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment, fire resistant clothing and safety gear for their EMT Fire Fighter Training Course. The SCBA equipment must include a warranty that includes a complete breathing air system back-plate and harness meeting the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirement. Manufacturer data or cut sheets must be provided for alternate brands. The college is interested in purchasing Drager, Lion and Thorogood products but will consider equivalent brands. Bid proposals must also include an annual maintenance agreement to service equipment during typical duty cycle meeting national standards. The clothing and safety supplies must be flame resistant coats, boots, pants, gloves, helmets, hoods and gear bags used by fire fighters. Suppliers must be authorized by the manufacturer to sell their proposed equipment, clothing and supplies.
