NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Electronic Waste Collection Services at the Lorain County Collection Center

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 by the Lorain County

Commissioners, Purchasing Department, 226 Middle Avenue, Fourth Floor, Elyria, Ohio 44035 for the

transport and processing portion of the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District Electronic Waste

Collection Program. All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening to be held immediately

following the deadline, in the Lorain County Commissioners Public Hearing Room-D.

The bid packets will be available beginning Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the Lorain County Purchasing

Department, 226 Middle Avenue, Fourth Floor, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Official bid documents and

specifications can be obtained electronically by emailing your request to Jessica Burns at

jburns@loraincounty.us. This request will also serve to register you as a plan holder of record. Only bids

prepared by plan holders of record and on official documents obtained from the County will be accepted.

Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the

Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or

Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Each bid shall contain the full name or names of persons and company submitting the bid and shall be

enclosed in an envelope marked “Lorain County Collection Center Electronic Waste Collection Program.”

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any

informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so. Any

interpretation, correction or modifications to specifications desired shall be submitted in writing to Jessica

Burns, Lorain County Commissioners 226 Middle Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035, email jburns@loraincounty.us

and must be received at least four (4) business days prior to the date on the bid opening.
