Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov/content/home).



The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following:



Placerville Nursery Cooler and Freezer Upgrade Project:



This project involves the replacement of up to six seedling cooler refrigeration units and up to two seedling freezer units with high-efficiency liquid-cooled units at the El Dorado National Forest Nursery. Included in the work is the evaluation, removal and disposal of the old refrigeration units and the installation of new units. All disposal costs, labor, and new material costs necessary to repair and replace the units in a working condition shall be considered incidental to the cost for each work item.



Base item: Supply and installation of three seedling cooler refrigeration units at the Nursery Tree Cooler Building #1 and supply and installation of a new freezer unit at the Placerville Nursery Seed bank freezer.



Optional pay items: Additional three seedling coolers at building #2. Additional freezer unit at Seed bank freezer.



Project Location: State of California, County of El Dorado, El Dorado National Forest, Placerville Nursery, From Placerville travel 5.4 miles east on Highway 50, then 1.4 miles northwest on Carson Road, then 0.2 miles east on Carson Road, then north 0.6 miles on Fruit ridge Road. GPS Lat/Lon coordinates are 38° 45.212' N, 120° 43.983' W respectively.



Solicitation Number 127EAS22R0006 for this effort will be posted to Beta.Sam.Gov (https://beta.sam.gov/) on or about March 4th, 2022. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project.



There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary.



Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
