Description:
SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Gilroy at the Purchasing Division,
7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA 95020, until 2:00 P.M., April 25, 2019, for Project
No.18-PW-400, Federal Project No. RSTP-5034 (027) Downtown Monterey Road
Rehabilitation Project, at which time they will be publicly opened and read for
performing work as follows:

Pavement Rehabilitation of Monterey Road with 4.5¡± grind and overlay,
associated pavement resurfacing and restriping, associated concrete flatwork,
installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps, adjustment of utilites to grade, striping,
signage, concrete improvements, other amenities, and other work incidental
thereto.

This project is partially funded with federal funds, and the contractor shall comply with
all applicable Federal requirements.

Portions of this project will involve night work.

This project is subject to the ¡°Buy America¡± provisions of the Surface Transportation
Assistance Act of 1982 as amended by the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency
Act of 1991.

Proposed improvements identified in the project shall be supplemented by City
Standard Plans and Specification and Clatrans Standard Plans and Specifications
dated 2018, with the exception of asphalt paving shall be supplemented by City
Standard Plans and Specifications and Clatrans Standard Plans and
Specifications dated 2010.

The City of Gilroy has established a goal of 14% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(DBE) participation of this project.

Pursuant to Section 1770, et. seq., of the California Labor Code, the successful bidder
shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the
Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations.
