Dog Park Pavilions RFP

The City of Orem is accepting sealed proposals from qualified and licensed Contractors for the construction of 3 new pavilions located at the Dog Park above Mt. Timpanogos Park at US-189, Orem, UT, 84097. The project will consist of excavation, landscape restoration, fence restoration, roadbase, grading, concrete flatwork with thickened edge, installation of pavilions, surfacing and equipment.

Proposal documents will be available online August 23, 2018 at purchasing.utah.gov (Select the search bar > select Current Bids > enter “Orem” > search). Sealed proposals will then be accepted online at Sciquest or by the Office of Purchasing, 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah 84057 until 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018. Proposals submitted after this deadline will be rejected. Upon review, the business or individual best meeting the needs of the City will be contacted for further action. The City of Orem reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part of any proposal if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City.

There will be a mandatory pre-proposal site visit meeting on Thursday August 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dog Park located above Mt. Timpanogos Park. We will meet at the entrance to the Dog Park. It is anticipated that construction will begin after all contract documents are signed and returned to the City. Construction will be completed 30 days after start date. All work for this project must be completed by October 30, 2018. Prior to bidding the project contractor will be required to visit the proposed project site and become familiar with the existing conditions, restrictions, inspect site conditions, preparatory work, equipment required, facilities, required testing, inspecting etc. associated with this work. The purpose of the site visit is to gather data or additional information through inspections or examinations necessary to perform the work according to the specifications in this RFP.
