Construction Management and Inspection Services for Cutter Mill Road Traffic Calming Improvements

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional construction management and Inspection services in connection with the following:

Construction Management and Inspection Services for Cutter Mill Road Safety Improvements- Construction Contract T62209-01G

The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Traffic Engineering Unit. These services shall include providing Resident Engineering and Construction Inspection Services for Cutter Mill Road Safety Improvements Construction project between Bayview Avenue and Middle Neck Road. The firms selected to provide these services will be awarded a twelve (12) month Agreement with the County.

Proposal submissions regarding this project are due on or before Friday June 30, 2023, no later than 3:00 pm EST at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted.

Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively.

Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. The Nassau County Bid Solicitation Boards are open to all registered vendors. Vendors that have not registered are able to view open solicitation opportunities, but they are not able to download solicitation documents or submit bids or proposals.

The proposer shall be required to comply with a good faith effort M/WBE goal and good faith effort minimum of 6% SDVOB goal for this project and with the requirements of Local Laws No. 14-2002, “Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts,” and 2-2016, “Participation of Service- Disabled Veterans in County Contracts.” All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local law No. 14-2002. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposers plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No.14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Technical Proposal.
