Comprehensive Parks Master Plan

The City and school districts are seeking a professional services team to provide the necessary planning services to conduct a Comprehensive Parks Assessment (Assessment) and to create a Parks Master Plan (The Plan). The Assessment shall include a Current State Analysis of the parks system’s existing assets and Needs Assessment informed by community input. The City and school districts also desire to establish a comprehensive inventory of recreational assets owned by the school districts. The findings from the Assessment shall inform priorities and implementation strategies of the Plan. The goal of this project is to establish a shared, clearly defined vision for the City and school districts’ parks system and other school-owned community assets (within the City of San Leandro) that is driven by community input. The Plan will provide guidance for both short- and long-range planning related to parks and recreation in the community and establish a baseline set of standards for all parks and recreational assets system-wide.
