Commuter Parking & Town Center Mixed-Use Project
City of Mercer Island, WA

Project Dates: January 2019 - December 2023
Qualifications Due: October 5, 2018 no later than 4 pm
Qualifications Submitted to: Deb Estrada, City Clerk, 9611 SE 36 th Street, Mercer Island, WA 98040

Project Description: The City of Mercer Island is seeking interested, experienced, and capable developers to design and build a development consisting of a City-owned (condominium structure) commuter parking facility for the future East Link Light Rail Station and a desirable mixed-use development based on the City’s Town Center vision and code. The City’s current preference is to own the land and parking facility. However, a scenario whereby the developer owns the property and parking facility with a perpetual parking easement provided to the City, may also achieve the City’s desired commuter parking interests and will be considered.

Firm qualifications will be evaluated based on the response to the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and a live interview to be conducted after submission. Firms must participate in one of two pre-submission conference and tours, an open house and presentation, and the top two candidates will be considered by the full City Council at a Council meeting. See full RFQ for complete timeline, scope and qualifications requirements.

Public notice is hereby given that the City of Mercer Island has issued the above mentioned RFQ. The complete RFQ can be found at the City’s website under the heading City Manager. Call 206-275-7795 if unable to access RFQ documents online.
