Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering

1.Purpose/Background

Boulder County Housing Authority (BCHA) currently operates over 908 residential units at 61 properties and is planning capital improvement projects at several of the properties. BCHA is seeking contractors to perform general contracting work as these projects are identified.

Engineering firms selected will work with BCHA and our subcontractors for varying projects, including mechanical, structural, and civil engineering. Locations are spread throughout Lyons, Longmont, Niwot, Gunbarrel, Lafayette, Louisville, and Nederland.

Awarded vendors will be expected to enter into a continuing services contract with the county with the option to renew for four more one year terms. No work is guaranteed by an award of a contract.

Specifications and a sample contract are attached.

2.Written Inquiries

All inquiries regarding this SOQ will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. October 5, 2022. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than October 10, 2022.

Do not contact any other county department or personnel with questions or for information regarding this solicitation.

2.Submittal Instructions

Submittals are due at the email box only, listed below, for time and date recording on or before 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on October 14, 2022. Vendors must answer whether line-item pricing information submitted with a bid is confidential or closely held.

Please note that email responses to this solicitation are limited to a maximum of 50MB capacity.

All SOQs must be received and time and date recorded by authorized county staff by the above due date and time.
