Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center Site Improvement Project

The Project consists of demolition and disposal of the existing parking lot and site amenities; construct a new parking

lot; backfill and site grading; site drainage; stormwater management; stormdrain; landscape planting; install a 5ft

boardwalk; install concrete paths and other peripheral work as fully described and detailed in the Bid Documents.

Refer to the contract documents for a complete description of the work.

The successful bidder shall be responsible to maintain, access during construction for the Chesapeake Heritage and

Visitor Center Building, access to Piney Narrows Marina, access for the normal operation of the adjacent boat ramp,

set up of erosion and sediment control, and complete all other work as specified in the contract documents. The

Contractor shall coordinate his operations with the County and shall not begin any work until he receives a formal

notice to proceed from the County.
