CONTRACT A

Description: Work of the Project includes alterations to Building 1 including work involving the removal

and replacement of roofing systems, and new basketball hoop assemblies.

The Project will include the Discipline(s) of: Metals, Wood and Plastics, Thermal and Moisture Protection,

Doors and Windows, Finishes, Specialties, Electrical.

Plans and specifications will be available at the Department of Transportation on MAY 11 2023.

Unskilled labor may be hired from lists prepared by the NH Department of Employment Security designated in

document 00120.

ACCORDANCE WITH “EXPLANATION TO BIDDERS” – INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS,

DOCUMENT 00204 – PART 13.

In order to be authorized to bid, the Department’s Request for Proposal (RFP) form must be submitted

to the Contract Office of the Department of Transportation. Once the RFP has been approved, the

Contractor is authorized to bid. At this time, the password card will be issued allowing the Contractor

access to the online bidding documents, including Plans and Specifications. Hard copies of the Bidding

Documents can be obtained from the NH Department of Transportation, Finance & Contracts Office, Room

130, Concord, NH 03302-0483 upon deposit of Forty Dollars, ($40.00) NON-REFUNDABLE. AN

ADDITIONAL $10.00 WILL BE CHARGED FOR SHIPPING. Checks are to be made payable to “Treasurer,

State of New Hampshire”. Send check with project name and number to NH Department of Transportation, c/o

CONFERENCE HELD ON MONDAY, MAY 15TH 2023, AT 2:00 PM AT BUILDING 1, LOCATED

AT 1 AUSTIN CATE DRIVE, CENTER STRAFFORD NH, CONCORD, NEW HAMPSHIRE. **IF

YOU HAVE COVID-19 OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE ELSE WITH COVID-19,

PLEASE FOLLOW THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC)

RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING ISOLATION AND QUARANTINE. SEE

Project completion date is SEPTEMBER 30, 2024

Proposals must be submitted electronically via https://icx.exevision.com/nhdot/icx/Index.aspx and received

by the Department of Transportation as specified above no later than the date and time mentioned above,

at which time they will be publicly opened and the results immediately posted on the Department’s website.

A bid bond shall be submitted electronically at the time of bid in the amount listed below, payable to,

“Treasurer, State of New Hampshire,” as security for the execution of the contract.

All individuals, firms, partnerships or corporations intending to bid, before obtaining plans and

specifications, must file with the Department of Transportation on forms prepared for that purpose at least

ten (10) days prior to opening of bids, a statement showing their qualifications. No valid bidding proposal

will be issued to a prospective bidder who is not qualified.

Companies, corporations or trade names, except sole proprietorships must be registered with the Secretary of

State (Corporate Division, Telephone No. 603/271-3244) in order to do business with the State of New

Hampshire.

Bidders are advised that final bid award, as approved by Governor and Executive Council, and issuance

of a notification to proceed with the work, can occur up to 60 days or more after the bid opening date.

Contract award is pending availability of federal funds.

Per section 00204.18.2, Low Bidder has 10 days after notice of award to submit signed Contract,

Certificate of Insurance, and Disadvantage Business Enterprise forms, if required.

Bidders must submit a 5% bid security at Bid and must furnish a 100% payment and performance security prior

to execution of contract.

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all proposals.
