CARP LAKE TOWNSHIP
WHITE PINE, MICHIGAN
Carp Lake Township (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Carp Lake Township Office located at PO
Box 397, 17 Main Street, White Pine, MI 49971, until Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM local time. At
that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
Construction of interior partition walls, ceilings and fixtures for two bathrooms, a mechanical
room, warming space and ice rink. Minor modifications to the existing building shell will be
required including the addition of insulation as well as installation of new plumbing, mechanical
and electrical systems. Cutting and patching of the existing concrete floor for wall footings and
underground plumbing is also required.
Bids are requested for the following single prime Contract: Carp Lake Township Recreation Building
OBTAINING THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: U.P. Engineers & Architects, Inc., 100 Portage Street,
Houghton, MI 49931, (906) 482-4810, Stephen E. Wright, P.E., email@example.com
Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday
through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Eastern time, and may obtain copies of the
Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will
not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or
partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the
Bidding documents also may be examined at the following Builder Exchanges: Delta County, Iron
Mountain, Hurley, Marquette; and the office of the Carp Lake Township at 17 Main Street, White Pine,
MI 49971, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Builder Exchanges
are authorized to share the contract documents with other exchanges.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of
$50.00 refundable deposit for each set (refundable for the first set only), plus a separate $50.00 non-
refundable handling fee for each set of contract documents. Alternatively, bidding documents are
available as portable document format [PDF] files for a non-refundable charge of $35.00. Make
deposit checks for Bidding Documents payable to U.P. Engineers & Architects, Inc.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bid Bond or
certified check payable to Owner shall be in an amount no less than 5% of the maximum bid as a
guarantee, that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Contract, Performance and
Payment Bonds, and Insurance Certification, as required by the Contract Documents within (10) days
after the Notice of Award.
