- Summary:The Virginia Department of Forestry is seeking a contractor to supply, assemble and deliver six (6) trucks to transport its bulldozers used in support of its efforts in wildfire suppression. The trucks shall be Ledwell 26’ Hydratail Trucks with Guide Rails (brand name only, no substitutions), mounted on 2024 Peterbilt 567, or like equivalent.

Round Information:An addendum has been issued and must be signed and submitted with your bid. Changes are itemized as follows: Section II SCOPE OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS:
• All references to 2024 Peterbilt 567 have been removed and replaced with 2025 Western Star Model 47X.
• “Bidders offering a like equivalent to the 2025 Western Star Model 47X must complete Attachment E: Western Star Like Equivalent Checklist.” has been added.
• Item B. 27.a) has been changed to read: “Must meet requirements in PTO installation guideline document attached separately to this solicitation. (Specifically max bending moment & min engine speed during PTO operation.)”
The PTO installation guideline document has been attached externally to the IFB on the VBO
Section VIII PRICING SCHEDULE: has been changed as follows:
• “Electronic IFB response instructions are linked here.”
• “*If bidding a like equivalent in lieu of the 2025 Western Star Model 47X, the bidder must complete Attachment E: Western Star Like Equivalent Checklist and must include all applicable product information for the equivalent so that a line-by-line comparison of the equipment requirements may be made per section Q. of the Special terms and Conditions.”
Section IX ATTACHMENTS: has been changed as follows:
• “ATTACHMENT E - Western Star Like Equivalent Checklist” has been added and must be completed if submitting a like equivalent for the 2025 Western Star Model 47X.
