Building Better Homes - Emissions Free and Healthier Communites Partner

Description of goods to services to be bid:

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is accepting Applications from firms to become approved Partners for Building Better Homes - Emissions Free and Healthier Communities program. Home builders and developers that become Partners in the program will be eligible to receive funding to design, market and build carbon neutral homes. NYSERDA seeks firms capable of delivering highly energy efficient all-electric new homes to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions and provide healthy living environments. Building Better Homes builders and developers will offer these highly energy efficient carbon neutral new homes as a part of their sales portfolio to prospective home buyers. Approved Partners will execute two-year agreements with NYSERDA, with two (2) two-year options to renew at NYSERDA’s discretion, or until all funds have been committed or program goals have been met which ever comes first. All Agreements will end no later than two years following the close of the RFP or when all work assigned under the Agreement has been completed, whichever occurs first.

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

1) Evidence that the builder or developers is actively building Single Family Homes in New York State
2) Public Commitment to build Carbon Neutral Homes – required for access to Marketing incentives
3) Building homes within the Systems Benefit Charge Territory
