Davidson County seeks qualified suppliers able to provide a Body Worn Camera (BWC) system and same for car mounted cameras. The system will include cameras, supporting software and video management, as well as implementation and training. All cities and towns listed below may use the contract resulting from the RFP. Nonetheless, the County is interested in 64 BWC and 32 car mounted cameras.
It is the County's intent that this Request for Proposal (RFP) permits competition. It shall be the offeror's responsibility to advise the Purchasing Agent in writing if any language, requirement, specification, etc., or any combination thereof, inadvertently restricts or limits the requirements stated in this RFP to a single source. Such notification must be received by the Purchasing Agent not later than five (5) days prior to the date set for black-out date for questions.
The County has never contracted for these types of items before.
The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office is using a federal grant to establish a camera system, for both BWC and car mounted cameras. This system will document the community-minding work that officers do each day and will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the judicial process through video and audio documentation.
