BID #2022-50 - CITY FLEET TOWING SERVICES

The City of Allentown seeks to retain a vendor to provide 24-hour, 365-day towing services for City fleeted vehicles. The City of Allentown currently operates a fleet of 620 vehicles and equipment. The fleet consists of sedans, trucks, street sweepers, fire trucks, heavy construction equipment, tractors, police cruisers, aerial lifts, scooters, turf mowers, sewer trucks, motorcycles, snow removal equipment, etc. The Municipal Garage, a Bureau of the Public Works Department, is responsible for the maintenance and repair and assists with the acquisition and disposal of the Fleet. These services are performed at one central facility. The Municipal Garage may need towing services for vehicles in need of repair from the Municipal Garage to a specified repair shop.
