The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors (Department) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified firms for one or more contracts to provide as-needed maintenance, effluent and groundwater sampling, with required reporting, of septic tank systems located at County-owned, controlled or managed beaches. Currently, there are 18 septic systems installed at the following locations: Malibu Surfrider Beach (1), Point Dume Beach (3), Topanga Beach (1) Dan Blocker Beach (1), Zuma Beach (11) and Royal Palms/White Point Beach (1). The septic tank systems must be maintained to meet water quality objectives set by the California Water Resources Board.
